02:00-08:00 Transfer from Irkutsk to the city of Ulan-Ude by minibus, which allows you to sleep comfortably on the road. 08:00-09:00 Breakfast at one of the cafes of Ulan-Ude.
09:00-11:00 Sightseeing tour of Ulan-Ude. A walk along the square of the Soviets, acquaintance with the main architectural monuments, as well as the world's largest “Lenin’s head”. Continue walking to Theater Square and further down to Arbat street of Ulan-Ude. Overlook of the best monuments of wooden architecture. Visit to the Holy Hodegetria Cathedral, which is the oldest building in the city. Walk along St. Cathedral street to the location of the destroyed Saviour Church. The end of the excursion on Battery Mountain at the place of foundation of Ulan-Ude. 11:00-12:00 A visit to the observation platform on Bold Mountain, as well as the datsan “Rimpoche Bagsha”, which is the center of Tibetan Buddhism in Russia (or a visit to the Ethnographical Museum of the Trans-Baikalia Nations). 12:00-13:00 Lunch at a cafe in Ulan-Ude.
13:00-14:00 Transfer to the village of Upper Ivolginsk. On the way visit the sacred mountain Bayan Togod. 14:00-16:00 Tour of the Ivolginsky datsan, which is the center of traditional Buddhism in Russia. A walk through the territory of the datsan, visiting the Buddhist University "Dashy Choinkhorlin" named after Dam Darzha Zayaev, which trains future clergymen from different regions and even countries. Making of the rite "goro", bypassing the holy places of the Ivolginsky datsan around the perimeter and strictly in the direction of the sun. Visit to the oldest Buddhist temple on the territory of the datsan "Choira Dugan." Worship to the imperishable body of Hambo Lama Dashy Itigelov. 16:00-19:00 Departure to the return trip to Irkutsk or transfer to the hotel in Ulan-Ude.
19:00-20:00 Dinner at one of the roadside cafes.
