Listvyanka - the tourist capital of Baikal

9:00-10:00 Meeting with the guide. Transfer to the museum of wooden architecture "Taltsy".
10:00-11:30 Excursion around the museum "Taltsy". The museum is located on a picturesque glade which descending to a sandy beach on the bank of Angara River. At the site of the museum was once the first glass factory in Siberia founded by the famous scientist Laxmann and on money of "the King of Alaska" Alexander Baranov. Here you will see more than 9 thousand exhibits and more than 100 monuments of wooden architecture among which the wooden Kazan church that is the oldest in Siberia and also the real towers of the Ilim wooden fortress.
Attention! With the number of participants in more than 18 people, the group will be divided into 2 groups. One group goes to the museum "Taltsy", and the other visits the Baikal Museum.

11:30-12:00 Transfer to the center of Listvyanka.
12:00-13:00 The walk through the biggest souvenir market on Baikal. Excursion to the nerpinarium (swimming pool with a trained seals) in the village of Listvyanka.
13:00-14:00 Lunch in one of the best cafes in Listvyanka in the traditions of Baikal cuisine.
14:00-15:00 A walk on a ship with a transparent bottom (January-April on a hovercraft) along the source of the Angara River – the widest one on the planet. You will see the only place of permanent wintering of birds in North Asia and the famous Shaman-Stone –  one of the most sacred places of the Baikal region.
15:00-16:30 Excursion to the Museum of Baikal at the Limnological Institute of the SB RAS. Virtual dive to the bottom of the deepest lake in the world. Inspection of aquariums with unique representatives of the fauna of Lake Baikal. Acquaintance with microscopic inhabitants of waters with the help of microscopes. A walk along the dendropark "Kamenushki" among evergreen Siberian cedars, to one of the best viewing platforms in Listvyanka.
16:30-17:00 Transfer to the ski track in Listvyanka.
17:00-18:00 Climbing the funicular (cable car) to the observation deck "Stone of Chersky" (in winter, meeting the sunset on the observation platform).
18:00-19:00 Return to Irkutsk or transfer to the hotel in Listvyanka.

Main Attractions: the source of Angara and Shaman-stone, Memorial stele on the site of the death of Russian famous playwriter Alexander Vampilov, Cape Rogatka, Limnological Institute of the SB RAS, Dendropark “Kamenushki”, Church of St Nicholas in Listvyanka, the old Customs Department in Listvyanka, Baikal Astrophysical Observatory in Listvyanka.
