Local Lore Museum

Excursion to the oldest provincial museum in Russia. We will walk through the old premises of the "Moorish Castle" which once being as department of the Russian Geographical Society, that have witnessed the many geographical discoveries. After all, in this building once read scientific reports such scientists as Alexander Kolchak, Vladimir Obruchev, Michael Gerasimov, Alexey Okladnikov. They helped to collect a unique collection of the museum. The exposition itself will acquaint us with the history of the Irkutsk land from the time of the Stone Age to the present.
