Admiral Kolchak in Irkutsk

During the tour we will visit the most interesting places connected with the stay of Alexander Kolchak in Irkutsk. We are to get acquainted with the activities of this outstanding glaciologist, his search for Sannikov's Land and the place of confirmation of his great contribution to polar science. We will visit the church, where he married his only lawful wife, Sofya Omirova, and also the place where Kolchak once ruled Russian Empire. The end of the tour will be the point of completion of the life path of this extraordinary man in the mouth of the Ushakovka River, which now has the only monument in Russia to Admiral Kolchak.

Main attractions: The hotel "Metropol", Hotel "Central", Moorish Castle, the Palace of the Supreme Ruler of Russia and the Council of Ministers, the grave of  Fedor Matisen on the Jerusalem cemetery, Obruchev's House, Irkutsk prison castle, Monument to Admiral Alexander Kolchak, Church of the Intercession and Candlemas on the Yakutiya outpost.
